According a recent TaxWatch study, overall achievement levels in terms of learning gains in reading and mathmatics for Boys & Girls Clubs members, was greater than that of their peer reference group or the state student population
Get Involved
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County seeks sponsors and volunteers at all 5 of its Clubs. Whether it's your time, talent or treasure, we encourage you to become involved in impacting the lives of children. Volunteer opportunities include: Coaches, teachers, tutors, readers, listeners, chaperones and mentors. All volunteers must complete a volunteer application, including a local law enforcement check. In every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. Young people need to know that someone cares about them.
Boys & Girls Clubs offer that and more. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence.
